Integrative Medicine Fellowship

Stamford Hospital (affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons) is proud to announce a 2-year Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness. This program offers a unique clinical experience in evidence-based complementary therapies in pain management, nutrition/supplement consultation, stress management with guided imagery and mindfulness meditation, and preventive cardiology.

Our consultation practice has seen over 4100 patient visits since our opening October 2008 and is a wonderful opportunity for learning this important perspective of medical care.  Fellows will be funded to complete the 1000-hour University of Arizona distance learning and residential curriculum as well as a 300 hour acupuncture program for physicians.

The salary and benefits of the 2 year fellowship is PGY-4 and PGY-5, respectively for each year.  Year 1 fellows will spend 50% time in the hospital's primary care family medicine clinic for under-insured patients.  Year 1 fellows will spend 50% time at the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness, a state of the art 4000 square foot facility located in a bustling outpatient hospital Center.  Year 2 fellows will spend 100% time at the Center.

Interested candidates must be primary care physicians and are expected to be already board certified in a primary care specialty or to achieve board certification during their first year of fellowship
