If you have or are at high risk for heart disease, you know that getting healthy is your first priority. Dr. Joseph Feuerstein Director of Integrative Medicine and Kathleen Sanders, APRN, Integrative Nurse Practitioner provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to preventing heart disease and reducing risk factors for patients who have a family history of heart disease or have been diagnosed with high cholesterol, diabetes or hypertension. The program is built on the belief that health and wellness involve healing of the spirit, mind and body, not just treatment of the symptoms of heart disease - and it complements and supports standard medical therapies for the treatment of heart disease.
- Our individualized treatment plan begins with an office visit with Dr. Feuerstein which will include a history and exam. He may also review recent lab tests with you and may order new ones to obtain your current information. He will then work with you on an individual basis to develop a diet and exercise plan that works best for you.
- Once you have seen Dr. Feuerstein, he will refer you to his colleague Kathleen Sanders, APRN for a stress management evaluation and plan. Most individuals recognize the link between heart disease and their diet and their daily exercise, however, many do not know about the link between stress and heart disease. Our mind-body treatments and programs provide each patient with an individualized plan for recognizing stress and effectively managing it and reducing it - ultimately leading to a healthier heart.
Everyone has the power to reducing their risk for heart disease. Our service helps you to understand your own body and we give you tools to make lifestyle changes that can transform your life.
